Chapter Seven

It was as if time slowed down. Tabby was intensely aware of everything. Every touch. Every kiss. A single brush of his callused hand against her skin sent shivers through her body. It felt intimate, stripping away any armor she’d built to keep him at arms length.

Now there was nothing between them. Not the future they wouldn’t share together or the clothes they’d strewn carelessly on the floor as they’d stumbled back to the bedroom kissing and tugging at the confining layers of fabric.
